Our Brand

Welcome to Forsyth’s, based at Home Farm in Godalming.

Forsyth’s have been involved in the fruit and vegetable business for over 30 years, supplying the wholesale market and the best chefs and restaurants in London. Covid 19 has forced companies like ours to re-evaluate and see how we can survive in this new world, which has seen our customer base shut down overnight. On Tenderstem alone, we lost over 2 tonnes of sales in a week.

At the start of this pandemic, our local village shop in Shackleford sadly had to temporarily close and they asked if we could offer fruit and vegetables. With stringent social distancing measures and the uneasiness felt going into food shops, Clare and I decided, with our contacts in Covent Garden and our direct access onto the A3, that a drive-thru offered the safest option with no one having to leave their car.

Over the last few weeks, we have tried to offer more choices and have been starting to add new ranges, including a Greengrocer, Bakery, Dairy, Butcher, Fishmonger, Pantry and Fresh Juices. We are trying to buy locally and support British farmers wherever we can.  We have been able to use our long established contacts to keep prices competitive. We also strive to give you freshness by holding no stock. We don’t order until you order.

For many years I have been frustrated that we shop in our supermarkets, buying ‘ok’ fruit and vegetables because we think we are choosing the best quality.  We want to offer everyday food that tastes great, with produce of the standard we supply to top chefs and restaurants. There has never been the right opportunity for me to do this. Perhaps in these unprecedented times, now is the moment to give it a go.

Thank you for supporting us and we hope that you will continue to do so. If you are a new customer, then please do try us.

We have been supporting the NHS from the outset of our drive-thru.  Any net profits will be donated and with your help we would like to achieve £10,000 by the end of June.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to Home Farm.
